good morning and happy sunday, all! i'm alive and well. the crop has been going famously and the promos have been a success. thanks to all of you that have signed up for subs at cocoa daisy! it's so exciting to see christine's little company grow! :)

hello cocoa daisy spring crop...

hello easter...

good morning all! i hope you all had an awesome easter. a fabulous day spent with family. we had a day with family and it was good. just a little sad because of sickness. you see, the kids were just getting over the flu they both had this past week and my sister in law, their grandma, had just gotten the flu saturday night. so, it was not nearly as fun as it could have been. but, time with family is good and i have missed those kids.

the pre hunt naps. and, she loved the hello kitty bunny i put in her basket! yes! another score for auntie a. :)

jackson's got quite a big bucket for such a little man.

still has her bunny. ;)

such droopy eyes. poor girl. :(

her attempt at a smile. poor sweet girl. (makes me sad when they are sick)

jackson's favorite egg of the day. we kept refilling it for him.

good thing hannah's birthday is in 10 days. we'll get a do over with healthy kids. :) more smiles and brighter eyes.

and, in just 3 short weeks we've got a big ole crop going on over at cocoa daisy.

here are the layouts i've created so far.

i embossed the chevron hexagon stamp with mustard zing on this one and love how the photos turned out cut in the same shape as all of the patterned hexes. :)

i added a shipping tag to this one and splattered and misted with october afternoon sprinkler in wheat field from the farmhouse collection.

this one was totally inspired by my friend becky novacek. she had a layout on OA's blog a few months ago that i loved and i drew a little sketch of it for future reference and this kit was screaming for me to use that sketch. thanks for the inspo, becky! :)

getting a little glimmery...

good morning and happy friday, all!!!

i'm sorry i haven't been around in the past few days. i've got a good reason. not a fun reason, but a good reason. i've had a NASTY cold living in my body. yuck! it's been a miserable one! i've still got a cough but it's getting much better! thank you, sinus buster! if you haven't tried that stuff, i totally recommend it. it's all natural. you can get it at your local drug store. it burns like heck, at first. but, it saved my life! LOL!

i'm a believer! and, it so happens they have allergy buster, headache buster and cold buster, too. their website says the headache buster works for migraines, too. something to think about, if you don't like to take medications.

anyways, i'm on the mend. and on to the glimmer. mist and glam and glaze, that is.

my post on the tattered angels blog went live on the 19th. 

here are a couple of my new projects.

it's a moleskin grid notebook. to keep my ideas in order. the paper is pink paislee mistable paper misted with dark denim glimmer mist. the silk ribbon was cream and i think i got to tied on a bag from snohomish this past december. i misted it with aquamarine glimmer mist. the wooden letters are painted with organic garden glimmer glam and the cute prima wooden button is covered with pewter glimmer glaze. 

i love all the chunky glitter in the glimmer glam.

this one is pretty simple. background is misted with aquamarine glimmer misted and a chevron stencil from crafter's workshop. the edges of the layout and journal card are painted with simply khaki glimmer mist (an oldie), ala shimelle. thanks for always inspiring me, shim. :)
